4th February 2008 – Società Italiana Lastre SpA launches a new range of innovative products for external wall and internal applications. Sil-Deco, Sil-Pigmenta and Sil-Design complete the range of products suitable for external wall and internal applications. The new boards are CE certified and are classed A2 s1, d0.
19th July 2007 - The seat of the Portuguese Precidency of the EU is realized using Silbonit sheets – Portugal will be presiding at the Council of the European Union from July to December 2007. The façade of the main entrance of the seat in Lisbon is realized using Silbonit sheets colour Lavagna. This works give the prestige to our case history.
13th Juillet 2007- Cembonit Superwhite as revetment of tunnel – A new tunnel was recently opened in Martignano – Trento on the Valsugana road no. SS 47. The new tunnel is composed by two archways 2.800 meters long and with a unidirectional two lanes carriageway.
The revetment of the lateral walls is realized using treated Silbonit Superwhite that gives luminosity to the whole tunnel and increases the security for the transit of the vehicles.
19th June 2007- New dimensions for Zeliplat flat sheets are available. We are able to produce Zeliplat sheets longer then those we produced in the past. On demand, it will be possible to produce sheets 3800 mm. long. The dimensions 3300 mm. 3600 mm. 3800 mm. will be added to the existing standard sizes. With this product Società Italiana Lastre will meet all the requirements of the markets
30th March 2007 - CE MARKING ON PRODUCTS FOR BUILDING - Starting from January 2007 we have been providing our products with the CE marking in accordance with the European directive 89/106/CEE in compliance to EN 494:2004/A2 for fiber-cement profiled sheets for roof building application and in compliance to EN 12467 for flat fiber-cement sheets for indoor and outdoor building applications. CE marking is imprinted on all our products near to the ordinary marking and the labels inserted in every package report the indications demanded by the standards.

SIL - The research has the priority. Fibre cement sheets as facing for external walls are studiedin the university.
BEST of the Politecnico in Milan and the company Aderma s.r.l. are studying the energetic working of ventilated walls.
A construction built in 1970 is recovered with 4 different kinds of materials.
One of them is Silbonit produced by Società Italiana Lastre S.p.A..
The data are checked by the software of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories of California University.
The aim of this research is to enable the designers to have some valid information in order to plan functional buildings with thermal
protection and optimize the efficiency of insulation.
